Airport Appreciation Day 2003

We had about a dozen planes and 2 heli's on display. 5 pilots flew. If
I counted right there were 15 rc flights. I got reports of lots of oohs
and aahs from the crowd. A total of 10 members show up at some time
during the day (Out of about 60). I liked where we were. We had good
viz of the flight line and full scale activities and got a lot of
traffic. Overall the day couldn't have been better.

The full scale boys stayed busy all day. At $10.00 a ride there were lines
waiting for a scenic tour of Cape Lookout and the beach strand. There
were record crowds and the WX could not have been better.

It would be remiss of me not to recognize Leon "Doc" Morrison for his efforts
in making this a sucessful event for us. Thanks Doc.
